Pester is a hardcore punk band from Porto made up of four members, also involved in other bands such as Ideal Victim, Idle Hand, Repugnator, and others no strangers to the underground! Their first release was the albumApathetic Man, issued on cassette in 2023 – now dragged back out and pressed on limited 180g gatefold vinyl via Black Train Records.

Musically, the band draws inspiration from 1980s hardcore, both American and European, with influences from bands such as Negative Approach, Dr. Know, Negazione, Wretched, Bad Brains, Poison Idea, and Black Flag.In terms of themes, the band brings a more nihilistic and manic edge to the subgenre, addressing subjects such as paranoia, hatred, mental health issues, alienation, and psychological conflict in general.
